Status of compliance with requirements

This website is currently only partially barrier-free. Continuous measures are being taken to further improve accessibility.

Despite our efforts, some content may not be fully barrier-free. This particularly applies to:

  • Some link texts are not yet unambiguous (e.g., "here" or "learn more") and are not understandable without context.
  • The checkout area of our online shop is based on the standardized Shopify checkout infrastructure. Due to Shopify's technical architecture, as a shop operator, we have limited options to make adjustments to the checkout process. Access to the underlying code and design options are limited by the platform.

The following sub-areas are not designed to be barrier-free because it would represent a disproportionate burden:

  • Videos: Adapting a large number or older videos to current accessibility standards would require a disproportionately high amount of personnel.

Evaluation Method
The evaluation of accessibility was carried out through a combination of automated and manual tests. For automated testing, the tools ArcToolKit and Lighthouse were used. In addition, a manual review was conducted regarding keyboard navigation, page structure, semantic structure, and usability with screen readers. The review was performed internally in collaboration with our webshop agency. The assessment is based on the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA.

Enforcement Procedure

Should you be of the opinion that functions of our website do not comply with the requirements of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), you can contact us at any time. We strive to find an amicable solution with you. If, even after your feedback or contact to the above-mentioned contact for content falling under the BFSG, no satisfactory solution has been found, you can initiate a conciliation procedure according to § 16 BFSG. After a period of six weeks, you have the right to contact the enforcement and monitoring body directly. Involving all parties, the enforcement body tries to determine the circumstances of the lack of accessibility so that they can be remedied.
